I am Ignatijs Krasovskis,
(Embedded) Systems engineer, with
Engineering experience in high-profile
technological and scientific context

2017
🇱🇻
In September 2017 I began learning how to code, for now - in HTML, in a high-quality programming school, Progmeistars. I was 13 at the time when I first began coding, and I pursued that niche ever since. For the entire length of me studying software development in school and in university, my father was helping me when I needed it, which I am very grateful for! It is actually seeing him work as an Embedded Engineer - that helped me decide at a such young age to go into IT as well.
2019
🇱🇻
After developing skills in WEB development for 2 years, I have begun with my first programming language - Golang. I will be using it actively for the next 4 years, during classes and for my initial hobby projects. I have also started learning C, C++, Python and Git. The latter I use very often now.
At the same time, I was attending classes where Melnik Sergey Ilyich, a distinguished mathematician and head teacher in the school, gave classes on mathematical structures and dynamic programming. This was the place where I finally saw how beautiful of a science math is. I am really happy to have been able to study under his supervision - he did not only give me domain knowledge, but support in different life circumstances as well!
2023
🇱🇻
May
2023 is the year when I graduated high school. With that, I've got new ambitions - software development is fine, sure, but it's too broad. What if I started with Embedded Engineering? This sounded good, but in Latvia there were very little opportunities, as the job market is not that big.
I have decided to move to the Netherlands.

HAN University of Applied Sciences is the university of choice. I really developed my C and C++ language skills there in an embedded context, as well as identified a lot of shortcomings of mine. Prior experience with software development gave me a break on that, which meant I focused all my attention at embedded development - PCB design, choice of components and design desicions, alignment with the team on what do we need for our project.
A little sidenote: I am writing ALL my texts and documentation by hand - you can be sure it is of high quality.
What is also noteworthy - is that a long time ago, my father introduced me to the Linux OS (mainly, Ubuntu distribution), and at the moment I moved to the Netherlands - I began using it again, exchanging after a year for an Arch Linux distribution, which I am using to this day.
2025

A small piece of the puzzle was still missing. You see, ever since I graduated high-school, I wanted to work in the industry. I wanted to get experience alongside knowledge which I get from my university. The job market, it had other plans. While I successfully went through the first year of my university, I was becoming increasingly tired of working in a warehouse. Summer 2024 is when I decided to fight for it - for a place in the sun. At the very beginning of 2025 I secured an internship at Thermo Fisher Scientific (you can read more about it in the "experience" section). It was absolutely beautiful while it lasted.
Unfortunately, the company adopted more conservative hiring policies in the light of unstable worldwide economic state. And so, in June, I had finished my apprenticeship as per contract, marking my first almost half a year engineering experience. I would have also started with part-time studies (deeltijd opleiding), but I didn't have B2 Dutch language level. I have started studying Dutch very intensively since November 2024, and already by end of April 2025 I had my B1 level. August 2025 marks a months when I will be a confident B2 user. With that Dutch level, I will be finally able to participate in part-time studies!

At the moment, I am actively looking for a junior Software Development or Engineering position, as I have dreamt for a long time already. My university so happens to require that as well - for me to begin studying part-time. If you have anything similar to those positions available, I will be really grateful if you could help me out with that, feel free to contact me!.
